Studio Obsidian is a record label and one-stop music publishing company (ASCAP) for the work of Nathan Moody and all adjacent or related projects.
Studio Obsidian’s core mission is to release music that blends of experimental techniques with melodic content, regardless of genre. As a result, its catalog includes experimental music, electronic music, dark cinematic orchestral music, psychedelic rock, and territories in between. He has collaborated with other artists including Todd Barton, Rob Bridgett, Damian Kastbauer, Jeff Schmidt, and many more.
Nathan’s work has been featured, either by licensing or commission, in a variety of media and performance. He is represented by Robot Repair Music Collection for sync licensing, and direct licensors and clients include the Oberlin Dance Collective, Stellar Dance films, games such as The Blackout Club (Question Games) and The Adoraboos (MyDream), and podcasts like Gladiator (Boston Globe) and Hyperlab Omni. He has lost track of the number of remixes he’s done over the past two decades.
